I work with oil paints and like to paint in my local area of Calderdale not perhaps the prettiest bits but the places that are usually overlooked such as terraced streets and factories that have been essential to the way of life for many people over many years. I was fortunate to have been taught at Sowerby Bridge Grammar School by the late Peter Brook   

 Following my exhibition at Wensley Gallery, Ramsbottom in February 2009 I have been kept on as a resident artist. My paintings are now also exhibited in Ryburn Gallery, Sowerby Bridge and Abacus Gallery, Mytholmroyd.
